On the heels of our recent expansion into the San Francisco Bay Area, today, we’re proud to announce a major move into the Northeast: we are now officially live in New Jersey and New York!

Starting today, residents in more than fifteen counties and more than 450+ ZIP Codes across New Jersey and New York will have a digital way to sell their home using Opendoor. If you’ve ever sold a home, then you know how complex the process can be, requiring a flexible schedule, uncertain timelines and the possibility of a buyer’s financing falling through. Together, these two East Coast states mark our 46th metro market launch, allowing us to give homeowners a tech-driven process that is simple, certain and accessible, coast-to-coast.

While this isn’t our first foray up the East Coast (we launched in D.C. last year!), we are thrilled to partner with sellers in two states that have fierce loyalty to their roots and strong opinions. While you’ve likely heard of some popular (and still unsettled) debates – who has the better bagels, Islanders vs. Rangers vs. Devils, Springsteen or Billy Joel, boardwalk slices vs. NY slices – these two neighboring states do have something in common: the unmet need for a digital, seamless real estate process.

New Jersey

In New Jersey, we’re now available in more than ten counties and more than 260+ ZIP Codes, including Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties.

The Garden State is the most densely populated state in the country, making the demand for an easy real estate transaction even stronger. We know that Opendoor will make the antiquated real estate process easier in New Jersey, freeing sellers from the waiting and worrying and uncertain timelines.

New York

In New York, we’re now available across Long Island and sections of the Lower Hudson Valley. Our coverage will span across five counties and more than 230+ ZIP Codes, including Nassau, Orange, Rockland, Suffolk, and Westchester counties.

We’ll expand across diverse counties, from commuting neighborhoods to weekend getaway destinations. Our launch in the Empire State will help sellers access their hard-earned home equity, cash to buy their next home, and a reliable experience that every homeowner deserves.
